Nesting Season

A bitter-cold night, ground laden with a hoar frost.
There's whispers of snowfall by morning light.
The kind of evening that lends itself to staying indoors, finishing the Christmas cards, and watching old movies on the television.
A time to nest.

Sometimes that is just what you need. It is unseasonably warm here right now and no snow. Deb=^..^=x4

"Finishing the Christmas cards." Oh dear, I haven't even started... Thanks for the reminder!

I think you have described the perfect evening - maybe with the addition of hot chocolate!

I just saw on the news that there is snow in your direction--But it doesn't look like the pretty snow, but wet and heavy? Whatever it is, be safe, and stay warm!!

Yes, it's definitely a nesting time Jo. I did all my Christmas cards before I left England this year. That was one job I saved doing here. I need to make my Christmas cake very soon. I'm a bit late with it already. I also want to visit Cracker Barrel and get some of their new Christmas decorations.
Lovely picture you've used today!

We've got sunshine and cool weather on tap for at least a week! Then we'll re-join winter, along with you, and then I'll nest. :-)

I'm with you on the nesting Jo! Add a good book and a cup of hot tea and I'm happy.

We awakened to light flurries, now mixed with
misty rain, in our corner
of TN....May the sight of
it wash across your grieving
heart and refresh your soul
for the day, dear Jo. The
tea was delicious...

Hi Jo, Did you get much snow? We had to make a trip to Knoxville early this morning. The snow was peppering down then --and sticking to everything.

But--when we got down to I-40, it was just flurrying. Got to Knoxville and it was rain.. Then on the way home, it was still flurrying. Got home and everything had melted. It continued to flurry for awhile---but that was about it...

YES--it's time to NEST.. I need a nap!!!! ha

Hope you are feeling well.
Hugs,
Betsy

Yes it is...I think that is one of the things about cold weather that I liked, one had a really good excuse for enjoying the fireplace and a good book...I miss that!

Oh my goodness, I haven't even thought about Christmas cards yet!

I love that feeling. There are times I miss all that snow I used to have to put up with in British Columbia...the cozy feeling of stoking the fire and watching those huge flakes falling and piling up. We have snow predicted for Saturday evening..brrrrr. Enjoy your nesting Jo.
