Woodland Carpet

"An altered look about the hills;
A Tyrian light the village fills;
A wider sunrise in the dawn;
A deeper twilight on the lawn;
A print of a vermilion foot;
A purple finger on the slope;
A flippant fly upon the pane;
A spider at his trade again;
An added strut in chanticleer;
A flower expected everywhere ..."

I have a wood near my house in England, that looks just like that at Whitsun. These trees look American? Is that right? Isn't that just a gorgeous colour blue.

My goodness how beautiful. I can only emember one time in my life that I've seen any thing like that.
It was along a highway and some one must have planted several acres of yellow flowers "black eyed susans I guess, one acre was solid yellow the rest was scattered with them.
Great blog and poem.
