Evening Visitor

It's a stormy November evening, a lighting of the hearth, and sipping of hot cocoa type of affair.
However, not the kind of weather to keep a hungry Possum from partaking of a late night snack.

Moma Possum contentedly gets her fill

Next visitor, baby Possum
Aren't those toes adorable ?

I love to see a bit of wild life, we're getting some 'odd' lifeforms, who usually don't venture near humans, in our garden. I had a heron in my garden, squirrels are right on my patio and a fox was on my drive way. It was lovely to see them all - lovely wee animal in your domain! how cute!

So nice to see these two alive. Too many times, when I'm in Tennessee, I see them dead on the road. They are really cute, I think, although maybe not for cuddling, like a cat. However, I like it that you are feeding them, or are you? That looks like catfood they're tucking into. Maybe, like my ghost cat, they are stealing a free meal. However, a hungry animal is a hungry animal, whether it's yours or not. Well done.
Blessings, Star

We have those critters coming to eat the persimmons. Did I spell that right?

They're so homely that they're cute. Look at the little pink noses! The critters who come out in the night can be so intriguing,

this one fits my so ugly cute thing. adorable and great photos of her/him. looks young to me. we have some realllly big ones here in 4th grade many years ago, my son's teacher called and said you have to come get david, he has mice in his pocket and will not get rid of them. i go there and it was 2 baby opossums, he walked to school and found the mother dead inthe road with 2 live babies, he said MOM she wanted to flush them down the commode. I said hang on, got a shoe box from the teacher and took them home. they were about the size of mythumb. they did not make it despite the goat milk bought from a vet. fond memories

Hi Jo, Those 'things' make me shiver.... They are not the prettiest flower in the garden, are they???? I'm sure he enjoyed the little snack you provided for him though....

He's just a little munchkin but I am really into manicured nails and I am afraid I would have to go at these. I am so happy you are feeding these poor little creatures that have a hard time finding food. No animal should go hungry. Hugs, Deb=^..^=x5

All we have is neighbor cats coming over to visit the leftovers from our cat food bowl. I really like the little creature.

I think they are cute and I always stop when they are trying to cross the road. They don't have much road sense!

We have oppossums in our yard too, doing just what yours are doing...eating cat food. Yes those fingers...well, I don't think they are adorable..they remind me of witches fingers. I would really like to put some nice red fingernail polish on them, to tell you the truth!
