Indian Summer

Indian Summer is upon us. Balmy warm days, frost-laden nights.
One last chance to indulge in Summer's pleasures.

An early American writer described Indian Summer well when he wrote, "The air is perfectly quiescent and all is stillness, as if Nature, after her exertions during the Summer, were now at rest."

~ John Bradbury 1817

We are having some cool weather ---even in the daytime. I was working in the yard this afternoon--and still had on my sweatsuit.... And we have had frost advisories for the past 3 nights... Whether it's Indian Summer or not, I LOVE it.... Now---I need to start my rain dances again though!!!! ha

Hugs,
Betsy

It was near a perfect day here! I'm loving the cooler nights, although it's quick dressing on these brisk mornings! It's great to finally get relief from the summer!

It's lovely and cooler here, too. The high today may be 80*F but that's okay. It's blanket weather at night!

I'd love to sit at the table in the photo and enjoy the company and the view!

Hugs!

We're still vewry much frost-free here. That's due to the shelter of Lake Ontario. Indian Summer here isn't usually until early November.
