lovely swallotail and when i enlarged i could see the reddish color in the center of the flower. delightful. I want to sit in a swing on a porch and watch butterflies flit over the flowrs

We were in Ohio last week and saw a butterfly about the same size. It was iridescent blue and brown.

Jo, I photographed a butterfly like that and it took some time. Each time I'd just about get the shot, it would move to the other side of the flower. It would not cooperate. And, how did it even know I was trying to photograph it?
I love this quote and the picture too!! We are seeing a lot of butterflies this year, and I'm not sure if there are more, or if I'm just noticing them, but I'm glad they're around. ~Hope your week is going well!~
