Spring Storms

A night of restlessness.
Stormy, swirling skies, lightening bolts all around.
The morning mists, quietly gather and gently wrap the rain-soaked earth.

Morning Mist

In the morning, skies so gray,
Before the sun lights up the day,
I chanced upon a morning mist
That left the leaves and grasstips kissed
With the aqua of the dew,
It left a feeling with me, too
Something old and something new;
Something that comes with the mist again,
Never what, but always when.

The morning after a rain it always looks so wonderfully fresh out there. We had our torrential rain a few days ago. Lovely post as always Jo.

Once again, the perfect photo and verse! I really love mornings like this, because there's just something about the feeling in the air...

I hope you didn't have any damage from the storms and that your morning was as pretty as the poem.

Hi Jo!
We could sure use some of your moisture...we're really hurting for rain. My brother in law dug down 5 feet while burying our old barn foundation and as the old timers around here say...'it's drier than a popcorn fart!' This has been the driest and coolest spring I've seen. I hope the rest of this week is nice and sunny for you.
