Home Alone.

Mum and the First Sergeant had to leave me guarding the house today.
Something about the need to earn money so they could buy more kibble .
Yum !

I showed them I was alert, and up to the job.
As they drove out of the driveway the house fell eerily silent.

I'll keep look-out from my favorite chair, scanning the horizons.

It's so warm and quiet in here ZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

I dreamed of running through the fields, endlessly filled with plump, juicy mice.
Sshhh ! Don't tell "them" I took a cat-nap.

When mum and the First Sergeant returned home , it was dark outside. I wanted to tell them, all about keeping the mice away, but I overheard mum telling the First Sergeant, to give me a "heads up".......

Does anyone know what that means ?

Oh, well.....did you bring kibble ?

I'd say he's a pretty good watch cat, keeping those pesky mice at bay.

Best wishes always,

Oliver looks like he is right on top of things! I think that Bentley watches the house as well as Oliver while we are gone for the day. Poor Oliver and Bentley, it seems that they are both suffering from separation anxiety! Ha Ha. By the way, Oliver scores points for being so cute!

Love,
Susan and Bentley

It must be "cats in charge" today. Our cats took over my blog as well. Your Oliver is a outstanding feline blogger. He tells a good story. Such fun.
Pun advisory*
I'm glad I didn't see your blog earlier, I won't have posted mine for fear of being called a -copycat.

What a nice chair you have to sleep in. My people had to stay home today. Lots of snow, and it is still snowing!

Gee---that 'Watch Cat' really worked hard while you were gone... Bet Oliver cleaned the house, washed the clothes, and had dinner ready for you when you got home..... Ya think?????

LOL Oliver is a cutie indeed. We still won't leave Bon Bon home alone, if the other two go to the vet, she goes along for the ride!

Beautiful cat, and very coperative to let the mice have their way. Or maybe the cat is very sly when stalking a meal. he he he he .

As with all cats, Oliver certainly knows where the softest look-out points are located!

Our usually outdoor cat, Boots, is seriously miffed at all of the snow and wind outdoors for the last two weeks. She hates cold, wet, and wind and is stalking around the house between naps and baths as if we are in charge of the weather and should be quick about bringing Spring on. I share her wish for Spring!

Cheers!
