Dreaming Of Digging In The Dirt.

"Every gardener knows that under the cloak of winter lies a miracle ...
A seed waiting to sprout, a bulb opening to the light, a bud straining to unfurl.
And the anticipation nurtures our dream."

I need to plant the bulbs I bought yesterday at the Flower Show right away. The show really made me believe that spring is just around the corner!

You're not the only one dreaming of digging in the dirt! It got warm enough yesterday that I can see the ground in some places -- that's at least a start!

Beautiful picture, Jo.... AND--when spring comes, we'll be wishing that those weeds would quit growing. No matter which season, we'll complain, won't we???? ha...

Maybe 'complain' is not the correct word.. Maybe it's that we are never satisfied in the 'now'... We yearn for the next season... Oh Well--how wonderful to be human!!! ha

Hugs,
Betsy

Just this morning, I thought, I need to get seeds started. Probably not until March, but I can start to plan. I love the thatched roof houses. I have never been inside one, but they are so great to look at.

Oh, Jo, if I could just see the sun. It has been forever. Anyway, I have started a to do list for the garden.

Very pretty cottage, but there are a lot of weeds in the garden!

It is still far too cold, wet and miserable to be getting out into the garden here. Next month maybe.

What an enchanting cottage and garden, weeds and all! It speaks of all things wonderful!

As a new gardener of just 2 seasons of veggie gardening behind me, my favorite discovery of all is the many spirals and curlicues in nature as seeds sprout and unfurl, as vines curl, twirl, and climb, and as buds find the sun's warmth. Soon, in just weeks, it will happen all over again!

As snow falls, the garden catalogs arrive to tease and to fuel imaginations throughout the Northern Hemisphere! Joy!!
