Winter Solstice Begins.

Now winter nights enlarge
This number of their hours;
And clouds their storms discharge
Upon the airy towers.
Let now the chimneys blaze
And cups o'erflow with wine
Let well-tuned words amaze
With harmony divine...

I have enjoyed 'strolling' through your blog...

The picture looks so peaceful and beautiful. I prefer the longer days, but there is something fun about nesting in the winter months. Wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas!

A lovely poem for the Chistmas season and a beautiful picture to go with it. Nice to be back in Tennessee. I noticed when I got back how much snow was falling in America just now, especially in some parts. I was lucky to fly into Atlanta and not New York. Poor people stuck in airports. My heart goes out to them.
Blessings, Star

I love the red mailbox. I see it is an English one with it's crown and proper red color. I will catch up on all of your blogs after Christmas as I am still trying to get things done for Friday. Have a very Merry Christmas if I don't visit again.

It looks so much like where I live....we now have 2 1/2 feet of snow and we are getting in the 20's. For a few weeks, we were below zero. Brrrrrrr.......
:-}
Hope your holidays are wonderful!

You've captured a beautiful snowy scene. The trees over the road (path) remind me of a cathedral.
