A Scottish Sensation....

Appearing this week, as a guest on the finale of America's Got Talent, was the Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle.

For those of us who were privileged enough to watch her rendition of the Rolling Stones "Wild Horses", it was truly stunning.

Susan Margaret Boyle (born 15 June 1961) is a Scottish singer who came to international public attention in 2009 after she appeared as a contestant on Britain's Got Talent. Boyle became known when she sang "I Dreamed a Dream " from Les Miserables in the competition's first round, first broadcast in the United Kingdom on 11 April 2009. In the final of the third series of the show, Boyle finished in second place, behind dance troupe Diversity.

When she appeared on the Britain's Got Talent stage for the first time, the audience and the judges appeared apprehensive and judgmental of her "frumpy" appearance Upon finishing her song, she received a standing ovation from the live audience and unanimous praise from the judges.

The contrast between the audience's first impression of her when she appeared on stage compared to the ovation she received afterwards triggered global interest. Articles about her appeared in newspapers worldwide, while the numbers who watched videos of her audition have set an online record

Within nine days of her televised debut, videos of her audition, subsequent interviews of her, and her 1999 rendition of "Cry Me a River" had been viewed a combined total of over 100 million times on the Internet.

Her debut album is to be released worldwide on November 23rd 2009.

I'll be one of the first in line !

You know what? I didn't expect to like that. This is a difficult song to sing for a woman because of the key. But this is probably the prettiest version I've ever heard. Well done Susan!

This amazing lady has certainly brought "REAL" into reality TV. Regardless of her "frumpy" look that she started with, and even if she chooses to stay with it, Susan Boyle has the amazing gift to bring healing to others through music that has touched the world.

I think she is one of those angels who are sent to earth to help us along the way.

she truly does have a gift, and what a lovely song.

Had a question, and would you mind answering it on my blog; the rug with "Keep Calm and Carry On," is that yours, and if so where did you get it from, I would love it.....
