Bloomin Lovely...

The Rose of Sharon's are in full glory...
Though commonly a "late bloomer", we are always treated to a spectacular show, that's well worth the wait.

I remember those when I was a little girl. I would pick them and turn them upside down and pretend they were a girl wearing an evening gown and she would be dancing the night away!

I especially liked the peek at your back yard in the first picture. How genteel and lovely your existence is!

The great thing about staying put for a long time is the mature plantings. That alone keeps me put.

Absolutely gorgeous flowers.

The Rose of Sharon is a touchy bush in our area. People do succeed growing them and one bad winter and they are just gone. Yours are so beautiful. I may have to try one in my fenced in area with shelter from the north wind.
